Deployment can last several months, sometimes even years. So what are you supposed to do with all your stuff? Mom and dad might not want to house your entire home while you are away and I doubt your friends do either. The simplest solution is to rent a Texas storage unit.

The storage rentals offered at Proguard Storage are done on a month-to-month basis. This is great news for anyone scared of signing a long-term contract. After all, plans change and maybe that 4 month leave will turn into an 8 month leave or it could be decreased. If any sort of changes happen, you can easily make the necessary adjustments to the storage rental. Best of all, all your possessions will be safe and secure in Proguard Storage’s facility. Each unit is individually alarmed and the gates are all electronic with coded access. If that doesn’t put your mind at ease, how about on-site managers?

Visit ProguardStorage.com to learn more about the facility and inquire about pricing. There are units large enough to fit a five bedroom house! Come back safely from deployment knowing your items are well protected.

With the idea of spring cleaning in mind, many homeowners and apartment dwellers are also thinking about ways they can spruce up the place. For those with a home, the warm weather of spring is the opportune time to fix up the house, both inside and outside. If you’re looking to repaint the rooms, maybe swap out old appliances, you’re in for quite a project.

No matter what the project, items and furniture in your home can really get in the way. If you’re living in a small apartment, there probably is no extra space to push furniture while you repaint. And if you’re doing a major project like ripping up the floors, you have to put those items somewhere else. Storage rental can be the easy and cheap solution. With a month-to-month lease on Texas storage, you don’t have to worry about being locked into a contract. Once the project is over, you can end the lease –if you so choose.

Smaller rentals are also available if you don’t need to store that many items. With builders and contractors and paint flying around, the last thing you want to do is damage anything you own. Rent a space and have a smoother renovation process.

I know you’re probably way more excited than he is, but moving back home is no fun task for anyone. He probably has a ton of extra items and furniture that he has accumulated over the year and you need a place to store it. Before you tell him to shove everything in his closest, think about what this could mean. His room is probably already a disaster and you want him to add more stuff to it…

The easy solution? Rent a Texas storage unit for the next three months. No one will have to rack his or her brain trying to make space. And I’m sure you’ve already begun your spring cleaning endeavors. You wouldn’t want to mess that up would you? Keep the home free of clutter, whether it be yours or kids. Proguard Storage offers storage rentals as small as 5′x5′ if there isn’t much that needs to be put away. Best of all, there is no long-term contract or lease. You can rent from month-to-month. So at the end of August you can have your son empty out the unit and ship him off once again.

Now before you run off and purchase mom another pair of earrings or some other piece of jewelry that she probably doesn’t need, maybe you should consider doing something nice for her instead of buying your affection. How about cleaning up the house, which you said you would do for years?

It might sound like a lame idea, but giving one one less task today might be a better option. It’s actually a thoughtful gesture. But don’t just say you’re going to take out the trash. Start by offering her full treatment at a spa so she can enjoy a relaxing day outside of the home. Then rent Texas storage and finally clear out all the stuff no one is using. Do the entire house from top to bottom. Toss out what you do not need and sell or store the rest. This way she can come home to a completely “new” and improved home.

I guarantee it’s a gesture she’ll never expect. Throw in a nice vase of flowers on the dining room table too. And if you’re feeling up for it, a delicious Mother’s Day meal isn’t a bad idea either. But after a long day of cleaning and making trips to the storage location, she probably won’t mind good takeout.

You have to face the truth and get a 9-5 job like the rest of us. It’s a sad reality, but most bands just don’t make it. But that doesn’t mean you can’t jam with the fellas and talk about the good old days of living out of a van and trying to split $23 evenly amongst the 5 of you. Now you’re faced with a full-time job, a family, and a little one on the way. Time to make more room in the house. Time to find a new spot for all those musical instruments.

A climate control storage unit is a viable option. Not just for you, but for the entire band. Drum sets aren’t small and neither are all the amplifiers, pedal boards, and mic stands. A storage rental will provide a nice cozy home for everything. But because instruments aren’t cheap, pack them neatly and safely in gig bands and drum cases. Everything should have a padded, well protected home. The last thing you want are dust bunnies or any type of damage on them. And on the day that your heart pains for a jam session, you and the boys can take a drive down to your storage rental and reminisce of better, more musical days.

It’s sad to even mention it, but it happens. For most of us animal lovers, the passing of one pet does not mean we’ll never have another one down the line. But I know for me personally, it would be quite some time before I adopted another ball of kitty love. The thought of my current cat’s bowls and toys hanging around the home during that time period is not a pleasant one.

Storage rental is an easy solution to keep your pet’s items out of sight and out of mind before you’re ready to move on. All those items were costly, so why bother tossing out perfectly good carrying crates, dishes, carrying bags, and litter boxes? Pets come with just as many items as our kids, so a Texas storage unit is a wise choice. Save everything for the future or perhaps you’ll have a friend or family member looking to adopt soon. At least you’ll know you have the items and they can be put to good use one way or another.

Putting Fluffy’s items in storage isn’t a way to forget. It’s a way to never let go!

And if you know anything about this fine city, you know the prices are exorbitantly high. My brother was making a decent amount of money and could afford to live on his own but because of his budget, he was stuck with a studio apartment in a fabulous location. Studio apartments are common for those who live alone. And while that may be all you can afford, you end up suffering from serious lack of storage space. You’re lucky if you have one closet and it’s probably just a coat closet.

Living in a studio apartment allows you to get creative with your storage solutions. But one thing is for certain: no matter how great you are at decorating the space, you’re going to need outside help. This is where storage rental comes into play. I don’t think my brother would have survived without it. Okay, he would have lived but he wouldn’t have had much room to move in his place. Storage rental is the best option for those enjoying apartment living. You can enjoy more space rather than having storage bins up to the ceiling. And hopefully you can one day afford a two bedroom and not feel overwhelmed with all your stuff!

Cleaning the entire house once a year will prove to be an extremely daunting and tiring task. But alas, not everyone shares in my OCD cleaning tendencies. Instead, I can simply offer you some advice to make spring cleaning go smoothly this season.

The first tip is to not clean the entire house or apartment in one weekend. It’ll be too tiring and possibly too much to do. Instead, do it in increments over the course of a few weekends, depending on how big your home is. Stick to one room at a time. Sort items into piles: keep, throw out, donate, store. The hardest part is parting ways with items you’ve had for years, but really think about what is necessary and what is not. The more you get rid of, the better you’ll feel –and the less you’ll have to clean.

For items that you cannot part with and have little room for, use a storage rental. Storage rentals are typically paid on a month-to-month basis so there is no long-term commitment. They are affordable and can help you take back control of the home.

After everything has been cleared out, dust, scrub, and sweep and make the home sparkle like new. And try your best to keep it that way the entire year!

I myself have given into technology and succumbed to purchasing a Kindle. But with my new device comes a lot of books that will just be sitting on my book shelf, doing a whole lot of nothing. Being able to part with some of those books can clear up the clutter that is my room and I’m sure the same can be said for the lovely readers out there.

But if you’re anything like me, you can’t just toss your books. You probably don’t even want to donate them. Maybe you want to save them for a time when you can prominently display them on a larger book shelf. Whatever the case, if you just cannot bare to part with them, place them in a Texas storage unit. However, you might want to think about climate control storage units. Books are going to age regardless, but you do not want to speed up the process. Place them in boxes or containers to help ward off dust and mold.

When packing, only place a few books in each box because they will , obviously, be very heavy. Remember to show them some love and don’t forget the feeling of what it’s like to hold a good book.
